Ladbroke.co.uk – Cricket

www.ladbroke.co.uk – Ricky Ponting has waited until the eleventh hour before wading into the war of words ahead of today’s first test in perth

Ponting hit out at South Africa’s poor run of form, having never won a test on Australian soil.

It will no doubt be in the back of South Africa’s minds as the likes of Lee and Johnson come thundering down the wicket on what is expected to be one of the most volatile WACA pitches seen in years.

Proteas Captain Graeme Smith did not sit idly by while the mind games began.

He made claims that while playing in this year Indian Premier League Twenty 20 competition under captain Shane Warne that he had taken the opportunity to pick the legendary test cricketer’s brain and formulate an attack against the Australian top order.

Shane Warne responded by saying he’d had ‘a bit of a chuckle’ when reading Smith’s claims.

He laughed of the claims by saying that although he had shared several ‘cold beverages with Smith’ and listen to the South African Captain hypothesise about the best way to attack the Australian batsmen, he had offered no insight into the Australian top order whatsoever.

Warne also dismissed long time strike bowler Makaya Ntini as a on the way out but gave respect to new pacemen Morne Morkel and Dale Steyn.

Warne was confident that the Australians are well placed to ensure that South Africas run of losses in Australia continues.

Ladbroke.co.uk – Darts

www.ladbroke.co.uk - When you think of darts players you probably immediately picture a couple of overweight, beer swilling, hairy blokes sweating gratuitously under the pressure of a tense battle at the oche. Well why it’s fair to say that image has been slowly eroded as the players get serious with the amount of money in the sport at the moment were about to see an even bigger image shift.

Women’s World Champion Anatasia Dobromsylova has just signed up with the Professional Darts Corporation and will compete against her male colleagues at this year’s World Championships at Alexandra Palace in London.

The 24-year-old Russian has moved from the PDC’s rival organisation the BDO in a move seen as a career progression for her and a step in the right direction for women’s darts. Dobromyslova was given the opportunity to move to the more high profile and lucrative tour after a place was made available to her at the World championships thanks to the withdrawal of an Indian qualifier. It would appear the lure of playing against the men at the biggest stage and the promise of a better income in the future was too much for her to turn down.

She lines up at the tournament hoping to win a few games but the ambitious player is hoping that with further experience she can really challenge in the future.

As ever Phil ‘The Power’ Taylor is hot favourite to win the vent but we had a surprise winner last year and the title could go to his heir apparent James Wade.

mebet.co.uk Advertisment

This is a quarter page that I oulled out of a national free newspaper called The Metro and it was in the back of the paper which is traditionall the sports pages. It was an advert that was only relevant for the one day as it was specific to the match that was on that night.

BET NOW

What it does though is gets the customer to visit the website and then there is a big chance that the customer would return a second time. The thing that really jumps out whilst reading the paper is figure £460 and that a £10 bet can win you that amount, Then you read what must happen for the bet to win and although its a longshot it does seem like a very viable offer which is a very clever move from Metro. They then include a welcome offer at the bottom by saying that if you bet upto £25 they will double your stake with a free bet of upto £50 which sounds fantastic. They have then used a co-operative logo in Blue Square, who are a big betting site in the UK and they are the actual hosts of www.mebet.co.uk which is great advertising for both of them
